FOCUS column
ChargeClass
Marks a row as a Correction when it revises a charge from an earlier period, rather than a first-time charge. Corrections arrive when a provider re-rates usage or fixes an error, and they must be recognized so that a prior period’s total is restated rather than the current one inflated.
Example
A row with ChargeClass “Correction” and a negative BilledCost reverses last month’s overcharge on a storage line.
Where it comes from, per export
The export column that feeds ChargeClass in each format the platform ingests, and the transform applied. A format with no row does not carry the column; the value is then absent rather than guessed.
